Mr. Jeremy Spoor Former Vice President Institute of Training and Development UK

Mr. Jeremy Spoor first came to Malaysia in 1989 and committed the last 15 years to developing the Malaysian workforce. Mr. Spoor was formerly the Head of Technology of Slough College before coming to Malaysia to serve as Chairman and President of Specialist Management Resources. For the last 3 years he has been Director of Training for Sam Ling Corporation, Sarawak. He has contributed greatly, both as a speaker and organizer, to the last 13 Trainers meet Trainers Conferences. Mr. Spoor's passion for training is unparalleled and the HRD Congress and Trainers Meet Trainers alumni recognize his contributions in the field of people development.

YBhg Datuk Yau De Piyau has made a significant contribution to the development of the Human Resources sector in Malaysia. Datuk Yau holds a Masters' degree from United Kingdom in manpower studies and served in the Ministry of Human Resources for more than two decades.

Among his many achievements, Datuk Yau has succeeded in promoting and establishing recognition for the importance of developing people.

Popularly known the 'one percent man', he spearheaded the idea of organizations contributing funding human resources development in the country. Datuk Yau and his team nurtured the training industry and created a corporate learning culture in the country.
